Middle School and High School Ministry

At Adamstown Community Church, you will find a fun group of normal everyday teens with normal everyday struggles and difficulties.

The goal is that they come together to build positive relationships, great friendships, encourage one another, have lots of fun, share problems, hear resolutions, implement changes in their lives, and grow as individuals with confidence and their own style.

We do this through various special activities and outings geared especially for middle and high school students. 

Epicenter

Join over 300 hundred other middle and high school students from public schools and churches all over Frederick County and upper Montgomery County, at Epicenter!

The last Sunday of each month, we participate in Epicenter, which is a multi-church activity designed just for middle and high school students. There is game time in the gym; live bands for worship; great, interesting, guaranteed non-boring speakers; and time of prayer for students, grouped by high school cluster. 

This event is held monthly during the school year, and has youth from churches and schools all over Frederick County. It begins at 6:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:00 p.m.) the last Sunday of the month, and ends about 8:00, held at Oakdale Middle School in Ijamsville, located just off of I-70 and 144.

Typical Gatherings Usually Include 

• Contemporary Christian worship music.
• Relevant time of discussion on current topics that are applicable to today’s youth culture.
• An atmosphere of love and grace, where youth can feel comfortable sharing about real life issues that may be on their heart and mind.
• Time of prayer (nobody is ever required to pray out loud).
• Small group connection time by age and gender when possible.
• A challenge to each youth to think about God’s truth and how they can apply it to their lives in a real way.
• Some good eats every now and then
• Recreation time (fun games, sports, a short trip….you name it—we will probably try it, if we haven’t already!)
• We also plan to worship with other youth groups on occasion, have live bands, really cool guest speakers, and always a great time of fun and laughter!
• In general, you should usually expect the unexpected!
