We have wrapped our purpose and mission statement into one simple phrase:
"LOVE GOD,
LOVE OTHERS,
and SERVE THE WORLD."
That is precisely what we are all about. We strive to live this out in our own personal lives each day as a church. We are passionate about helping others within our community grow stronger as individuals, and as a community, by helping them understand how they can have a true sense of purpose, happiness, value, togetherness, and assurance in their daily lives.
As a result of that passion, we have committed ourselves to walk people of all ages through a three-step process of:
(1) understanding how to know and LOVE GOD, expressing that love through genuine Worship;
(2) learning how to genuinely connect with and LOVE OTHERS by hanging out with one or more of our Community Groups;
(3) exploring new ways to passionately SERVE THE WORLD as Jesus served during his time here on earth, by becoming involved in Service Teams, which includes serving the church body, the community—the entire world.
Our purpose and mission statement is based on the following passages in the Bible: Matthew 22:37-39, and Matthew 28:18-20.
Overall, our three-step process is truly a great time of fun, laughter, encouragement, strengthening, some good eats now and then, etc. as we each learn more about God, Jesus, the Bible and more. We are connecting with one another throughout the community as we journey through life together. We invite you to join us!

Adamstown Community Church "governs" itself based upon the Bible. The church is led by our pastor (teaching elder) who oversees all aspects of the church. A group of elders provides counsel and assistance to the pastor as requested by him. Church members vote on confirming installation of elders, deacons and officers, as well as to ratify other major, non-ecclesiastical recommendations of the pastor or elders, as may be deemed appropriate according to the bylaws of our church, which are guided by the teachings of the Bible.
The cornerstone of the first church in Adamstown was laid on September 2, 1868. It was built upon a lot donated by the Kohlenburg family. The church was then referred to as Trinity Chapel of the Reformed Church. The first church building lasted twenty-four years; however, it was in need of costly repairs, so the church voted to erect a new structure. The cornerstone of our current building was laid on July 8, 1893, with the cornerstone of the old building placed in the foundation as well. The total cost of the building was $5,000. On November 1, 1936, our Sunday School building was dedicated. This building cost more than $8,000. Materials from the original Manor Church were used in the construction. The church was part of a denomination called the Evangelical and Reformed, which later joined with the Congregational Christians to form the United Church of Christ. In 2001, Trinity became an independent non-denominational church. In early 2008, the church modified its name to Adamstown Community Church, dropping the formal denominational naming structure from the 1800's. However, the church has kept the name Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church Adamstown as their official, legal name, to preserve the founding heritage of this great church that continues to serve the Adamstown community each and every day.
