Operation Christmas Child

Please remember that we will need all shoeboxes, filled with gifts, completely done and ready-to-go, no later than Sunday, November 23. There is a flier in the vestibule. Please contact Brenda Keagan if you have any questions regarding this fabulous opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child this Christmas!

Harvest Home

We are currently collecting non-perishible food items to ensure that each and every family within the Adamstown and surrounding communities may have a plentiful Thanksgiving Day meal. You may donate goods no later than Sunday, November 23. To keep us mindful of giving in this way, we will place the donated items in the front of the sanctuary. If you have questons, please contact Brenda Keagan or any Willing Worker.

Guest Speaker

In alignment with our “Ordinary People” sermon series, we are honored to have with us on Sunday, November 30, Jeff Simpson, who will bring the message during our worship service. Jeff is a 19-year-old freshman at University of Maryland, who loves God and has a strong passion for Scripture. You will NOT want to miss this ordinary young man whom God has chosen to do extraordinary things! Bring your friends and neighbors!

Live Nativity

Please join us for a time of community as we discover the real reason for the Christmas Season. We will have real people, live animals, and live music depict the scene from the day in which Jesus Our Savior was born! This event will be held at our own Manor Field, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20. Our rain/snow date will be Sunday, December 21, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Hot cider and light refreshments will be served around a bonfire. Come out and join us at this FREE community event! Please click here for more information.

Montevue Christmas Project

Our church will be doing an outreach to the residents of Montevue Nursing Home in Frederick. The gifts will all be taken to the residents on Sunday, December 21, after our morning worship. All are encouraged to attend as we deliver these items. Please contact Bernie and Raylene VanMeter for additional information, 301-874-4765.

Mentoring Program

Interested in being a mentor or having someone to mentor you as you travel along your spiritual journey? Spiritual mentoring is when someone comes alongside another as a companion on their spiritual journey. Adults can mentor other adults, children and youth. Youth can mentor children, etc. Usually, it will be to help them establish solid foundational habits that will help them grow (like fertilizer does to plants). Habits such as having a daily quiet time with God, accountability, memorizing Scripture, finding their area of giftedness and/or ministry, giving of their time and resources, and sharing their Christian faith with others. Please contact Pastor Ron for more information.

Cookbooks for Sale

Please remember that our cookbooks are still for sale. They make great gifts at only $10. All proceeds going toward community outreach and other missions.

Christmas Fellowship Luncheon

There will be a potluck fellowship luncheon immediately following the worship service on Sunday, December 15.

Apple Butter

We still have Apple Butter available for $3.00 per pint. Please see any Willing Worker or contact the church office at 301-874-2633 to make a purchase.
